crossroads

Tokyo National Museum Horyu-ji

We all happen at the crossroads.

This woman is unaware of the proximity of two great things, whether they are decisions, forces, friends, or lovers. And then, what is more, a reflection pool stirs slowly before her.

The tree on the right - the one that looks as though it might just snatch you with its twiggy, malicious grasp - might just need a hug. Perhaps it has never known love before. The tree on the left might look like the better option - she looks graceful and healthy now - but on the inside she may be spent. Hm.

Watercolor
on the way to RyoAnji.

I wonder how many people notice this beautiful canvas on the side of the road.
How long has this been here?

tiki room

Muroji Morning

Somewhere in time,
Walt was here.

In a theme park, far, far away, I hear the birds of the Tiki Room sing.
